The CDI – Sales trainer will be a member of the Greenway training team as a Certified Dealer Instructor focused primarily on Sales department training. This position will be a leader in training/educating all dealer personnel in their respective positions to make sure that they can effectively drive value to all of Greenway Equipment and its customers.

• Become properly certified by John Deere before delivery of any John Deere training course
• Organize on site logistics of all training courses including needed equipment, training material/aids, shop and classroom and other misc. items prior to class start time
• Deliver training courses to attendees as outlined in the Leaders Guide
• Deliver certified classes at the same level of instructional quality, content, infrastructure and safety as courses instructed by the John Deere training organization
• Report results of the training event and roster to John Deere training department
• Tear-down the class to return learning environment to its original state
• Responsible for ensuring that all students attend the class for the full duration
• Stay current on new products and technology while regionalizing material to audience
• Coordinates and schedules all in-house sales training
• May participate in Sales EDUCATE Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge
• Operates and maintains vehicles, tools and equipment required to perform job responsibilities
• Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion
• Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
• Maintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products
• May Lead/Assist with all other Greenway training initiatives
• Assist with tasks at the Greenway Technology Farm as needed

• 4+ years of experience performing equipment sales; demonstrated experience consistently meeting performance metrics preferred
• Knowledge of agricultural or turf equipment and farming operational practices preferred
• Experience with sales settlement processes including structuring of the sale and financing
• Experience operating vehicles, tools, and equipment for training purposes
• Experience with basic computer functions; experience using CRM and inventory management tools
• Experience with basic Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams Applications
• Ability to create new basic reports and presentations using all Microsoft tools.
• Experience working cooperatively in a team environment
• Experience communicating effectively verbally and in writing including in front of classroom setting
• Ability to lead, facilitate and engage a group of students for long periods of time in a professional manner
• Ability to work/teach indoors and outdoors in hot or cold environments for long periods of time
• Ability to be coached and continually improve training effectiveness
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required; Associates degree preferred
• Ability to travel to all Greenway Locations and other John Deere Training Facilities
• Ability to have 20% over night travel for Greenway and Deere lead trainings
